The Housemaid Is Watching

I loved the first two books and immediately picked this one up too, but didn’t enjoy it as much. While you don’t need to read them in order, this one does make more sense if read last. It was so slow for like 80% of the book and then had some crazy fast paced moments that I wasn’t expecting. It felt repetitive and a little heavy, but the ending was worth it. Similar story to her previous two books … except for the end.

What We Buried

I enjoyed this book - it kept me on my toes trying to figure out not one but two unsolved crimes. I definitely didn't see the ending coming and I want more! I feel the ending was a bit abrupt but maybe it's leaving the way for a 2nd novel? In any case, learning some of the history in the book since it was based on real events was interesting as well. I would recommend this book and found it was a book I got through quickly because I was kept in some suspense!

It wasn't the usual Ali Hazelwood. I've liked her other stuff better.

The Summer Pact

Good book but heavy. It is easy to read which makes the heavy topics a little bit easy. There is a disclaimer at the start of the book, but I didn't think it touched on ALL the topics it should have.
