The Battle on the Ice
by Jean Rae Baxter

Wonderful book, start to finish. I learned a lot about the history of Canada. Jean wrote this book about the area where I lived during my childhood and touched on places that are dear to me. Jean has carefully crafted interesting and believable characters who reveal the struggles of life in the 1800's.

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
by Gail Honeyman

Beautifully written. Massive twist at the end that threw me through a loop. I felt very connected to Eleanor in some ways. Loved her character and her blossoming relationship with her friend Raymond. Definitely made me chuckle a few times too. Such a captivating book. Will read again one day soon.

Must read, so many times I thought I knew who was the killer and then boom I was proven wrong. It was impossible to put the book down. Absolutely worth reading!!!

Winterhouse
by Ben Guterson

Anyone who has read Pseudonymous Bosch will appreciate this story. Anyone who read Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library will do fine to read this book. It's at times grade-school scary and at all times very interactive as you, the reader, try to break the codes before any of the characters do. Magic, mystery and a whole lot of mayhem. I will be reading the next story of the trilogy.

Blue Crowne
by Kate Milford

Fans of Lemony Snickets will love this book. Brings in characters from the first Greenglass House novels with full-throttle action and chases that have you turning the pages faster and faster to find out if the good guys win. Excited to read the next story.
